Eliminate Failures, Reduce Maintenance Costs and Determine Remaining Useful Life for Mission Critical Systems Using Technology Developed and Validated for NASA and DoD

The capabilities and complexity of military systems and smart weapons continues to increase. These advanced systems must process and analyze more data, communicate faster and respond more quickly than existing systems while satisfying highly constrained weight and volume requirements. Advanced electronics and materials, innovative packaging schemes and sophisticated electromechanical sub-systems have been developed to meet these stringent requirements.

These demands have placed tremendous pressure on the maintenance and reliability process for advanced military systems. First and second generation health monitoring systems have been developed to address these maintenance and reliability issues. However, these health monitoring systems suffer from high false alarm rates, complicated set up procedures and can only predict that a component or subsystem failure is going to occur in the future.

Under the sponsorship of the Department of Defense and NASA, Expert Microsystems has developed Third Generation Prognostic and Health Monitoring software that determines not only if a failure will occur but also when the failure will occur. It also determines the remaining useful life of critical military system hardware. This software, sold under the SureSense® brand, is the most advanced and cost effective Prognostic and Health Monitoring (PHM) software available.

SureSense has been proven and validated for Space Shuttle Main Engine flight telemetry monitoring, NASA launch vehicle initiatives, F-100 turbine engine testing and the Joint Strike Fighter battery subsystem. It is now available for immediate deployment in other military system applications.
