Randy Bickford, President and Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Bickford is a recognized worldwide expert in prognostic and health management algorithms and software systems. He is one of the industry’s pioneers and holds multiple patents in the area of fault pattern detection, system modeling and analysis. Mr. Bickford has been President of Expert Microsystems since 1994 and provides inventive and business leadership for the company. Mr. Bickford’s technical expertise includes software design and development, systems integration, and control systems design and analysis. Prior to Expert Microsystems, Mr. Bickford worked in the aerospace industry where he developed new diagnostic and control technology for space propulsion systems. Mr. Bickford has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.

Rahul Palnitkar – Chief Software Architect and Engineering Manager
Mr. Palnitkar is the company’s Chief Software Architect and has over ten years of software engineering experience, including substantial authorship in the SureSense software suite as well as the Fleetwide Monitoring product suite developed by EM for EPRI. Mr. Palnitkar co-developed our patent pending self-calibrating fault detector technology. This technology provides a method for automatically maintaining the precise calibration of fault detectors used to monitor an aging asset. The self-calibrating fault detector provides a means to ensure that normal aging data is used for calibration while simultaneously ensuring that data representing accelerated aging or failure of the asset is detected reliably. Mr. Palnitkar holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science with a specialty in Artificial Intelligence.

Kiran Penmatsa – Lead Programmer/Analyst
Mr. Penmatsa provides expert scientific software design and programming skills. He has extensive software design, development and testing experience including substantial authorship in the EPRI Fleetwide Monitoring product suite. Mr. Penmatsa holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science with a specialty in Service-oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies.

Greg McParland – Business Development Consultant
Mr. McParland provides support for business development and market strategy. Mr. McParland has extensive experience in developing and implementing strategies to transition technology focused companies into profitable and sustainable ventures. Mr. McParland has a demonstrated track record of building successful operational and sales teams to deliver on shareholder expectations. He has held a variety of leadership positions in technology-driven biotechnology and clean technology companies. Mr. McParland has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
